Worked for Anne Schafer, MD and research team on her clinical research study investigating the effects of a drug, denosumab, to protecting bone health after bariatric surgery at UCSF and in affiliation with Massachusetts General Hospital.· Effects of Sleeve Gastrectomy on Calcium Metabolism and the Skeleton. Research assistant under Anne Schafer, MD on her study looking at the effects of sleeve gastrectomy on calcium absorption and bone health. · Novel Combination Therapy for Osteoporosis in Men. Assisted PI Dolores Shoback, MD in her phase 1 clinical trial examining the effects of combining teriparatide and cinacalcet on bone density in men with osteoporosis.

Blue Wilderness promotes marine conservation and awareness through ecotourism and research initiatives. I was as a member of the Blue Wilderness Research Unit where I worked with shark scientists studying the ecosystems and sharks of Aliwal Shoal. My responsibilities included, gathering data on shark populations and injury healing rates, as well as educating divers and helping lead shark dives. Interns also promoted marine conservation and education in the community.
