My career as a designer really took off in this role. Employed as the only in house designer I have been responsible for all eCommerce designs for new web builds. With a digital marketing background it came hand in hand to create the best possible user experience across any site. Prior to this role I had worked with Creative Cloud, this role introduced me to Sketch.Daily responsibilities include:• Creative direction on internal and external projects.• Communicating with front end developers regarding current projects from design into build.• Brand management across company.• Creative design of new digital and printed comms.• Planning and time management of studio budgets.Project highlights:• Brand Refresh- Creative direction on new look of agency including website and brand guidelines and over see all branding rules are being adhered to throughout comms.• UX Checkout- Working alongside a UX Specialist collaborated on the design of a bespoke online checkout for The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group (Peacocks, Austin Reed, Jane Norman). New design allows user to purchase items quickly and conveniently thanks to a simplified design and easy to use functionality. Conversion increased year on year 40% across the group.

Daily responsibilities included:• Campaign maintenance of all email marketing clients.• Wireframing and designing new email structures.• Email list data management.• Keeping in touch strategies.• Monthly reporting on email marketing campaigns.• All asset design for banners, social media and email.• In house design for company branding and literature.

I went to 9xb, new to digital marketing but soon found myself highly competent. I was handed responsibilities far exceeding my initial role, given my aptitude for digital marketing. My role then developed to include design work such as designing landing pages, newsletters, web banners and display ads.Daily responsibilities included:• Campaign maintenance including PPC, social media, email marketing.• Creating campaign proposals for clients.• Producing KPI reports and communicating them to clients.• Assisting in the sign off of wireframes for new web builds from a UX view.• Setting up 301 re-directs.Role highlight:• Innovative move to new email platform- Moving 9xb and all clients over to a new email platform. Thisinvolved setting up each client with regards to new email domains, building and redesigning old email templates, organising and restructuring the procedure for setting up data integration from site to new platform.

Working part time whilst studying for my A-levels, and then on completion of my exams I began working full time.
