• Create unit plans for Grade 6 English Department• Create and modify Common Core-aligned Reading and Writing lesson plans as well ascraft modifications for students with diverse learning needs• Deliver rigorous, high quality, culturally relevant instruction for two 2-hour classes ofReading and Writing (classes of 22 students)• Analyze student performance data, and create and deliver response to data plans for allstudents based on in-class work and formal assessments• Lead weekly grade level team meetings to address grade level concerns and trends, collaborate on action steps and ensure implementation of timely action steps

Responsibilities include lessonfeedback, classroom observation and feedback, analysis of student work, co-creation ofdata plans, and goal setting.

The fellowship is a year-long experience that develops leaders to create and manage Uncommon schools. Fellows are partnered with Instructional Leaders and supported with professional development, school visits, immersion residency, mentorship, and guided school startup and preparation. As Directors of Operation, we will co-lead schools that are aimed at preparing urban students to graduate from college.
