Kate Kane is a Associate Director of Economic Development at Hamilton Township NJ. Kate is the type of person that you can give a complex project, with limited resources, and she can quickly figure out a game plan, secure additional resources, assign tasks, and put together a plan to ensure that the project is completed without a hitch!! She’s able to develop successful strategies for increasing event participation,revenue growth, community awareness and volunteer engagement. One of the main reasons she is able to accomplish this is because she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty and she knows how to lead people and make them part of the project so they are willing to give 100%. Additionally, it’s one thing to lead a group of people who directly report to you, though one of Kate’s true strengths is leading volunteers and indirect reports to get them all on the same page with the same vision and objectives!! She’s also able to cultivate a strong volunteer constituency through overseeing the recruitment, training, mentoring, and mobilization of volunteers. Her leadership style secures volunteer commitment through volunteer development and recognition and creates a synergy with other volunteer committees in planning and executing events. She understands the importance of establishing leadership committees and is always there to train, mentor and support the key leadership volunteers to ensure they have the resources they require and are kept motivated!
