As an SME, the needs for the business change almost daily, meaning that the areas I cover as Operations Director are more diverse than the title suggests. My daily responsibilities cover general management of all staff, daily financial control, customer account management, customer supplier compliance, sales analysis, production planning, new product introduction (NPI), ISO quality and H&S management and Human Resources.I work in conjunction with our Sales Director to run the business on a day to day basis.

Started as Marketing Coordinator from 2011-2012 before the acquisition of Baugh & Weedon Ltd in 2012 when I became Marketing Manager.Managing the marketing budgets, developing marketing strategies, producing marketing material and annually analysing the effectiveness of the marketing activity.Developing the marketing and brand story for Ether NDE from a start up to becoming one of the industry leaders in Eddy Current NDT equipment within four years including securing a major industry contract.Re-establishing Baugh & Weedon as a market leader in the UK for Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) equipment after a decade of minimal marketing by understanding the company’s fifty-year history, customer base and culture and building the brand image, story and communications accordingly.Managing internal brand communications across both businesses to build strong brand identities that are transferred to our customers through all our business activities, allowing them to understand the similarities and differences of each company clearly.Developing strong working relationships and communications with our global distribution network, assisting them with their marketing needs to reach their sales forecasts.Creating effective marketing material, working closely with technical engineers and sales team, continuously focussing on the commercial objectives for each product.Co-ordinating the business across all departments to launch new products (NPI).
