The BARGETTO winemaking heritage began with brothers Phillip and John Bargeto who emigrated from Castelnuovo Don Bosco, a small town in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. They broght with them years of winegrowing experience when they established BARGETTO WINERY in 1933 on the banks of the Soquel Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Today, BARGETTO WINERY is operated by the third generation Bargettos who have continued the commitment of their forefathers to produce wines of quality. The family invites you to taste its award-winning wines and experience the long tradition and dramatic beauty of this internationally-acclaimed appellation.Specialties: Pinot Noir, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay all which reveal intensity of fruit flavor and natural acidities. Using handcrafted techniques, these wines are created to maximize fruit expression. The family also produces a special wine, we call "LA VITA" ( "The Life" in Italian). LA VITA is a unique blend of northern Italian varietals which are all grown in our Regan Estate Vineyard. The varietals are Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Refosco.We also specialize in CHAUCER'S fresh fruit wines and Mead.
