Working as an events server at Olympia Fields has been an incredibly enriching experience, providing me with a host of new skills that are transferable to any job. One of the most significant skills I have developed is proficiency with a Point of Sale (POS) system. This has not only improved my technical abilities but also enhanced my efficiency and accuracy in handling transactions. Mastering the POS system is a valuable asset in any customer-facing role, as it ensures smooth and swift service, which is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction. In addition to technical skills, working at Olympia Fields has improved my interpersonal skills. As an events server, I have had the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of members and guests. This has taught me the importance of clear communication, active listening, and empathy. Building meaningful connections with members has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the job. It has shown me how fostering positive relationships can lead to a better work environment and more satisfied clients. From technical proficiency with POS systems to enhanced interpersonal and time management skills, the experiences and connections I have made will undoubtedly benefit me in my future career endeavors.

As a server at Innisfree Irish Pub, I efficiently manage customer orders, ensuring a high level of satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. I also collaborated with team members to maintain a clean and organized environment, contributing to the overall positive experience for guests.

I made appointments for customers over the phone as well as in person on the computer to accommodate everyone. I worked as a receptionist as well as a personal assistant to the hair stylists where I cleaned the salon and helped with any task the stylist may need.

I worked with children from ages 3-15 in different levels of gymnastics. I taught the younger children sensory games and the older girls/boys basic gymnastics skills.

I went through 2 months of training to receive my certification in CPR, AR, and basic life-saving skills. I worked in a team of lifeguards to keep the 1,700 patron-filled aquatic center safe. I learned skills of leadership as well as teamwork.
