As Chief Operating Officer, Kate provides overall leadership and purposeful direction for JSP's business operations as well as project management support to several initiatives. With a knack for understanding both the macro and micro levels of an organization, Kate is able to successfully shift gears between the strategic big picture and operational details while working alongside a high functioning team of Principals to grow the JSP organization and simultaneously build infrastructure that will allow for sustainable expansion. With over a decade of experience overseeing grants and contracts, Kate has honed her skills in organizational change management, the development of efficient business practices, performance management, and financial analysis. She also brings extensive experience working with a diverse group of public safety stakeholders, a deep understanding of criminal and juvenile justice issues, and strong project management, analytic and communication skills. Able to deliver technical assistance service offerings as well as manage the administrative and financial aspects of the business, Kate draws from the knowledge gained throughout her career to facilitate planning processes with a focus on quality and results. She has provided technical assistance to several initiatives by guiding communication between criminal justice agencies, law enforcement, treatment providers, community members, and political leaders. She assists these collaborative groups in using research data as a management tool in the development and implementation of effective strategies to address public safety issues. Kate received an MBA from Suffolk University, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Bridgewater State College, where her focus of study was criminology. Kate is also a Certified Facilitator, and holds a Certificate in Health and Human Services Management.
