The Artist’s Ally provides a variety of virtual services specifically tailored to visual artists and other creatives worldwide. We specialize in designing websites to promote artists and their work as well as creating sites specific to the delivery of artist-taught ecourses and accompanying materials. We provide assistance in all aspects of establishing an online art school from course development to promotion to registration to photo, video and content editing. In addition, we offer ongoing technical support and site management as well as branding, graphic design, marketing, editing and virtual assistants so that artists can spend less time on business and more time creating.

Co-creator and Editor-in-Chief for the college student publication "Schooled." As one of four founders, I managed all editorial content, including copy writing, overseeing submissions, editing and layout. I also worked with the printer as well as organized publicity events. We sold the publication in 2004.

Worked as an editor for R.W. Nielsen's primary publication, Concrete Buildings & Foundations. I also conducted interviews, wrote copy and edited articles. I also managed the printing of the magazine, working directly with the printer to facilitate timely project completion by coordinating the layout, approving proofs, etc. I was also part of the team that created, planned and oversaw a new concrete construction trade show produced by the company.

I worked as an editor and as part of the marketing team. All printed content, including labels and marketing materials, passed through the editing department, which consisted of me and one other editor. We researched applicable regulations related to labels and claims as well as editing for content, grammar and style. I also provided support services and reporting at various company events such as the annual convention.
