As a child I loved storytelling. I wanted to be an author when I grew up, and I spent most of my spare time either reading or writing. Predictably I studied English in University, but then took a blind swerve into the world of digital with a post-grad in Computer Science. Over the years I swung between my love of writing and my opportunities in digital - finally merging the two with blogging, content marketing, digital marketing and social media. Creating meaningful digital marketing strategies for brands based around both storytelling and digital insights makes me happy. Moving from the financial sector in 2011, I managed the Netmums Blogger Network of over four thousand bloggers for 4 years, working with brands such as Nintendo, Johnson & Johnson, Kelloggs, Lego, Dove and Persil. In 2016 I moved to Zahra Media Group, launching the digital arm of Easy Parenting magazine, before becoming Head of Social for Parenting following the merger with eumom.ie. I then oversaw the rebranding of eumom social media to 'everymum' which subsequently received the Irish Magazine Awards 'Best Use of Social Media 2018'. In 2019 I finally came full circle, publishing my first book 'Untying the Knot' with Orpen Press, and realising my dream of becoming an author. (And running a marathon to boot!). I write regularly for the Irish Independent and have been published in The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, The Examiner, The Sunday Post and more. I've appeared on both Irish and UK TV and radio including RTE and BBC. I am media savvy and comfortable working across all media platforms.In 2023 I began working for Penguin Random House Ireland, initially in PR and then moving to Key Account Management.
