RNZ 2011 was the organization responsible for the planning and delivery of Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand. The RNZ Match Manager is the most senior operational person who manages the coordination of provincial unions, match venues, tournament suppliers, RNZ 2011 functional area managers/coordinators, contractors, broadcasters and key RWC commercial stakeholders, in preparation for & during the delivery of matches during the Rugby World Cup. The Match Manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that operationally, the venue and all parts within it, runs smoothly during the tournament.Responsible for Stadium Taranaki New Plymouth (capacity 26,000) and Trafalgar Park Nelson (capacity 18,000). Originally responsible for Stadium Christchurch (capacity 45,000 - second largest RWC 2011 venue). However, due to the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake significantly damaging Stadium Christchurch, the venue was removed from RWC 2011.
