I have over twenty years’ experience at Fire and Emergency New Zealand as a career firefighter, officer and national advisor for various operational and strategic initiatives, including a roll out of a water capability for the organisation focusing on keeping our firefighters safe.I was the National Operations Advisor for our Coordination Centres, which includes representing Fire and Emergency on various all of government groups, providing technical advice and guidance for Emergency Service Sector working groups and managing the daily operations for our National Coordination Centre (NCC).Having been seconded to the National Emergency Management Agency ( NEMA) to project manage the establishment of there new 24/7 monitoring, alerting and reporting (MAR) Centre, I am back to where it all began for my Fire Career.
