I'm a recently retired Air Force officer transitioning into the civilian workforce. My last military position was as a reserve Lieutenant Colonel with a position as an Action Officer at Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD. I've held a variety of leadership positions. I began my career as a B-1B Weapon Systems Officer flying in combat missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My duties have been in support of operations, training, and standardization. I have held positions in training as the Chief of Standardization for Undergraduate Navigator Training--flying both the T-1 and T-39. I also have experience in college recruiting as the Director of South Dakota's Air Force Academy Admissions Officers. In my current position at the 28 BW at Ellsworth AFB, I'm involved in technical writing and coordination of wing plans, program manager for major wing projects, staff administration, and Treaty Compliance. Skilled in Operational Planning, College Admissions, Electronic Warfare, Aviation, and Military Aviation. In September 2022, I completed a Certificate in Data Analytics from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Graduate School of Engineering and Management. In was an excellent course that I am will be using a key skill in my current job search.I'm very involved in my local community. I volunteer with my kid's school in sports and classroom activities, I worked as the audio/visual director at church and I'm a member of Grand Haven Jeep Club. I enjoy reading, podcasts, biking, and yoga. I have three boys that keep my husband and I busy with their activities in school, sports, and music. In my first civilian position, I held a laboratory technician role where I calibrated physical testing machines, tested materials, managed laboratory equipment, and wrote certification reports under A2LA and ISO17025 accreditation.
