I work in this space with humility, integrity, and joy as my foundation.Some of my most meaningful professional highlights include:Managed my home as a mother of 3 young children, a full-time career, and graduate school from January 2021- June 2022Helped to lead New York City Public Schools (NYCPS), the largest school district in the United States, through the year 2020 as we transitioned between remote and in person learning through 2023. Provided governance to the South Bronx Community Charter High School as the Founding Treasurer of the Board of Directors, ensuring that the school met or exceeded all financial benchmarks since the school’s inception in 2015 & oversight of budget (~$5.9M)Partnered in designing, implementing, and scaling the District-Charter Collaborative program to 100+ schools in NYC as a Program Facilitator, facilitating the groundbreaking collaboration between public district and charter schools and guiding individual schools through inquiry cycles targeting continuous improvement through a racial equity lensScaled a startup education non-profit specialized in school improvement via cross-sector collaboration among public and independent schools in 3+ years from 13 to 30+ schools in NYC, tripled program offerings to reach 10,000+ students, and designed the first annual “Design Day” for students and industry partners that is now an annual event in several US citiesTrained 13 middle and high school students to complete the Philadelphia Marathon for 2 consecutive yearsRaised the math proficiency for students in grades 7- 9 from ~4% to >85% for 4 consecutive years as a founding secondary school teacher as part of the Mastery Charter Schools team, the largest turnaround charter network in the U.S, with the Shoemaker Campus being recognized in Pennsylvania’s top 10 schools for student academic growth.
