In addition to being a classroom teacher at Brisbane Girls Grammar School, I also work as a Teacher Librarian. This means that my role is varied and incredibly exciting. I work closely with other staff members developing their research tasks, supporting them in the classroom, and I provide professional development in a range of areas, generally focusing on the use of technology for teaching and learning. Some of my other roles include managing the Library School Box pages, implementing and supporting the use of ClickView within the School, and I create e-magazines through the use of Flipping Book Publisher both for the Library and for other faculty areas. During my time at Girls Grammar, I have loved teaching a variety of subjects, including History, Geography, Philosophy of Learning and Enterprise and Management, focusing on Years 7-10. I have also enjoyed becoming involved in the broader life of the school by caring for a house group, working as a netball coach and going on school camps and excursions.I have been on a number of committees including the Workplace Consultative Committee and the e-Learning committee, and have been a member in several groups, including the Learning Innovation Group, and the Creative Leadership Group.

As the main point of contact between the pre-service teacher, the site and the university, my role was to maintain communication and help resolve any issues that. arose.
