Orchestrated the creation and development of multiple teams dedicated to the test infrastructure for Google Play Services, used by several thousand engineers, impacting a user base of over 3 billion devices and supporting 1/3 of Google's revenue.• Created and executed roadmaps to reduce and eliminate test infrastructure flakiness, test setup flakiness, and test flakiness. Emergency fixes to production dropped from days to under an hour. * Created value stream maps for getting an idea to production and systematically improving them. This resulted in improvements including new hires getting a change into production before the end of their first day. * Worked to make costs transparent, allowing developers to make smarter choices and detect waste sooner. In one case, a single change saved $40k/month. * Reduced the maintenance burden of the software the Orders team owned. This freed the majority of the team to go after projects we didn’t previously have the staffing for.Major multi-year team projects: * Led the improvement of the software managing orders on the website and in manufacturing plants. Production incidents dropped from multiple nightly pages per week to one per month. * Working with teams across the entire company to migrate Vistaprint’s order flow through Cimpress over five years. Upon its completion, products launched faster, maintenance costs were reduced, reduced error rate, improved security and more. * Broke apart and migrated monolithic services to multi-tenant, container-based AWS services resulting in faster development cycle time. * Regularly communicated with internal stakeholders across the global company to identify problems and opportunities. One example was adding a button to clone orders that saved countless hours of developer time and paper waste.

* Designed and developed for QNX a multi-process html runtime. This improved developer productivity as modern web development could then be used on the embedded platform. Used by WebWorks and the QNX car platform.* Developed a html based browser for the html runtime.* Ported WebKit to the Java based BlackBerry platform and the QNX platform.* Coordinated a Git pilot project that introduced Git to RIM's developers.

Involved in various WebKit consulting projects including developing the in-game browser for SecondLife based upon QtWebKit and helped to get the initial port of Google Chromium working on Linux. Involved with development on the Torch Mobile Iris browser. (Torch Mobile was acquired by BlackBerry in 2009)

Involved in the development of the Qt library from 4.0 through 4.5. Design, development, and shipping of new components and maintaining existing components in the library. Creation of internal tooling and process to reduce developer cycle times from unit testing, builds and bug reports. (Trolltech was acquired by Nokia in 2008)

Worked on the Linux distribution running on the computers in the New York Stock Exchange. This included creating and enhancing tools used daily.

Part of a team that created a Linux distribution and software components for the MC9000 handheld scanner that was used by a fortune fifty company.

Supported developers, sales, and marketing for the Sharp Zaurus Linux PDA. Created tools and documentation for developers.

Left college to start a startup (Acquired by MGI Software) that created the first ever complete software only DVD player for Linux. Worked on the graphical front end, video buffers, libraries, documentation, and packaging. Also built a DirectShow clone for an embedded Linux set top box that was shipped in Japan.
