My role as a Health & Wellbeing Physiologist allows me to put my 4 years experience into practice to better the lives of individuals - I perform various physiological tests and aid in improving lifestyles to then improve health & wellbeing & am excited to progress in this role. I also help with training new Physiologists coming into the role and provide them with the compulsory skills needed, along with supporting them along the way. I have graduated with a Distinction MSc in Sport and Exercise Physiology at Leeds Beckett. I also graduated from LJMU with a first class degree in Sport and Exercise Science BSc (hons) in 2020. My main passion lies within sport and exercise physiology and driving individuals and athletes to push to develop themselves, whilst understanding and improving the underlying mechanisms which cause such progress.My undergraduate degree aided me in developing practical skills through performing VO2max tests and assisting with cannulation and arterial stiffness analysis pre- and post- HIT interventions. I also have practical experience with capillary blood sampling, ECGs, OGTTs, aliquoting blood samples and body composition analysis. My MSc dissertation was centred around Perilipin-5 content within bovine skeletal muscle, including muscle preparation, antibody staining and microscope imaging.
