About Kate Mac
Kate Mac is one of the most versatile talents in Perth, with over 15 years’ experience in the media and entertainment industry in Australia and internationally. As a WAAPA graduate she made her start in radio with NOVA Entertainment where she spent nearly 10 years at Nova 93.7 Perth. Within that time she left for a 2 year stint, taking her radio career to the Caribbean before returning to Australia to join Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show in Sydney in 2015. Kate then went on to host the National Summer Breakfast show alongside Sam Mac and James Mathison and returned to Perth to host Mornings on Nova 93.7 until August 2017 and can now be heard every morning as the breakfast host for SMOOTHFM. Kate has extensive TV experience having done presenting & producing roles for channel 7 throughout her career and is now a freelance presenter for Channel 9. Over the last 5 years she has hosted a number of lifestyle, national travel shows such as ‘The Amazing South Coast’ in late 2017, ‘Great Winter Escapes’ in 2018 and 'Monkey Mia, a Better Adventure' in 2019. Currently she works as a presenter for channel 9's 'Destinations WA' as well as a brand new series called 'Everything Outdoors'. Since returning to Perth Kate has become one of the most sort after Voice Over artists and MC's hosting everything from Music Festivals & olympic panels to intimate government functions and has made a name for herself in the Health & Wellness industry. Kate is a trainer, spin instructor and a well known keynote speaker covering topics in mental health, the power of intuition and life in the media. Kate’s media days have given her great exposure and a strong authentic following that she uses as a platform to help brands achieve their goals and this has lead to her most current role as the Claremont Quarter Style Fit Ambassador. Having overcome a number of personal battles in her life Kate is open, empathetic and authentic in all that she does and strives to leave a positive impact on all those she meets and works with.
