-Responsible for organizing the day-to-day operations of the Neuro Department-Complete comprehensive intake appointments; including demographics, in-depth medical history, psychological assessments and neuropsychological testing (e.g. Visual ocular motor, stroop and cognitive testing). -Walk the client through each step of EEG prep and testing to prevent anxiety and increase rapport. -EEG appointment: EEG prep, assessment, artifact removal, and data processing.-Provide NFB treatments for individuals with several types of diagnoses including PTSD, GAD, Depression, ADHD, TBI, Concussions, Migraines, Chronic Pain, and Autism.-Achieve significant symptom improvement, higher quality of life and improved relationships with minimal side effects.-Successfully introduced new therapy techniques and updated equipment, increasing therapy options, success rates and patient retention.-Teach clients about techniques to decrease anxiety; such as grounding techniques and mindfulness. Shown to increase client success and reduce appointment cancellations.-Provide understanding and empathy when working with patients, leading to strong professional rapport with clients and high symptom reduction.-Maintain communication with expert neurophysiologists to inform them of any changes in clients’ condition, discuss test results and prescribed treatment plans, and make changes to treatment plans based on client’s individual reactions.-Clerical duties of health records including treatment plan, symptom changes, medication, diagnosis, treatment types, environmental stresses, emotional state or traumas.-Keep clients motivated and on-task, monitor their progress and complete clinical documentation in electronic medical record system (OCEAN) for research purposes.-Update appointment procedures and checklists for other NFB Technicians- Manage other NFB technicians to maintain consistency

Followed detailed script and procedure for 8-12 different ongoing studies:Pre-screening children in the emergency department (ED) for eligibility involved finding data in their hospital charts that suit the research (age, reason for coming to ED, symptoms etc.)Recruitment involved discreetly and respectfully approaching family while in ED, explaining the study to the patients and families, screening to determine eligibility for one or more of the 12+ studies and obtaining consent.Data collection involved conducting surveys, attaching screening forms, tags or stickers to their chart for the doctor to complete, and informing senior research assistant of eligible patients for further study.Maintained study files, kept up-to-date records in detailed research logs.
