Heart of the City (HotC) is an independent charity which is housed and supported by the City of London Corporation. HotC works with SME businesses to help develop responsible business programmes, ranging from supporting their local community through charity partnerships, to reducing their environmental impact or tackling diversity and wellbeing in the workplace. The charity works across multiple sectors, including tech, finance, legal, built environment and hospitality. As stakeholder manager I led on the engagement of our key stakeholders to help deliver HotC's responsible business (RB) programme. This included identifying and account managing large companies, who have an established RB function, encouraging them to share their responsible business experience with SMEs at the start of their RB journey. I worked with companies such as Barclays, Grosvenor, PwC, Salesforce, Amazon and Macquarie. The role required a robust understanding of the RB function and excellent relationship management experience, combined with strong copy writing and project management skills.

As Senior Partnership Manager I was responsible for account managing the charity's corporate partnerships, helping companies achieve their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social value commitments through strategic, measurable community partnerships. I also oversaw all areas of CRASH's fundraising and events function, including the development and delivery of a multi-faceted events calendar. CSR & Social Value: CRASH offers construction companies a focused and effective platform to achieve their CSR requirements. It is the strategic choice for companies within the construction sector looking to achieve effective, measurable CSR. As Senior Partnership Manager I account managed CRASH's key corporate partnerships, including partnerships with Arcadis, VolkerFitzpatrick, Taylor Wimpey and Galliford Try. My role focused on the effective development of each companies' CSR objectives, including employee engagement & development opportunities, team-building, helping to implement and manage volunteering programmes and broader community engagement activities. I supported the charity's corporate partners to effectively demonstrate their CSR commitment. This included impact measurement through social value reporting, campaign creation and delivery, producing case studies, internal communications, online content and working in partnership with CSR and charity committee groups. I am passionate about CSR & the charity sector and enjoy working in partnership with companies to enable them to support charities, engage their staff and benefit the communities in which they work.
