Kloof

As an Account Director at DigitLab, I was responsible for managing the Beiersdorf portfolio of brands, namely NIVEA, NIVEA Men, and Labello. The team was responsible for both digital campaign work, and the creation of Always-On content. The scope of my work included building strong relationships with the Brand Managers and Digital Team, managing projects.

I lectured into the subject of Brand Strategy for second and third year BA students at Vega in Durban. I am exceptionally passionate about the field of strategy, and believe that education and understanding is key to driving the much-needed shift in advertising in South Africa.

Simultaneously to working at Vega as an independent contractor, I offered strategy and design services to a small selection of clients. During this time, I was involved in building and formalising the brand and digital brand presence for a national e-tailer, establishing social engagement for a local hair studio, and creating monthly promotional material.

As an Account Manager at DigitLab, I was responsible for handling project strategic interventions and managing various aspects of existing projects. I was assigned to the KPMG portfolio which included KPMG Africa, KPMG South Africa, and KPMG EMA - Family Business. It was my role to ensure that all actionable elements were delivered by the defined deadline.

Kwazulu Natal

At Thumbtribe, I was involved in the production management aspect of the business. This involved workflow management, resource allocation, briefing, internal and client status updates, client interaction, time and cost estimate development, analytics and reporting. In terms of strategic input, I also assisted with the development and presentation of mobile.

At The Hardy Boys, I worked as an AE on two Unilever accounts, SPAR Freshline, the QuadPara Association South Africa account and several other smaller accounts. As an AE, I was responsible for the day-to-day management of the client-agency relationship, ensuring all parties were kept informed of any developments on the account at all times. As an AE, I was.

I lectured two modules at the Durban campus. One being the Practice of Brand Communication, and the second: Media Efficiency in Brand Building.

I have worked with a number of different clients on small design-related projects. Examples: Promotional Emails, Posters, Pamphlets, Magazine Print Advertisements, Business Cards etc.
