Kate is the Founder of McGrail Law, PLLC. McGrail Law is a woman owned financial services law firm that represents financial services companies and their employees in litigation, arbitration, and regulatory proceedings and helps them comply with industry regulations. Prior to founding McGrail Law, Kate was a Managing Partner and the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at Murphy & McGonigle, P.C., a mid-sized law firm with a niche financial services law practice area. During Kate's tenure, Murphy & McGonigle was recognized as "Law Firm of the Year" in Securities Regulation by U.S. News and Best Lawyers in America in 2021 and 2022. Kate has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has served as a regulatory attorney with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, a disclosure analyst with ING Funds, and a Series 7 registered representative with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. She was also an Enforcement Attorney for a state securities regulator and worked in the Brooklyn DA’s office.
