I am a strong believer in the power of the written word to connect people and businesses with one another. As a published writer, editor and book coach, I aim to tell real life stories and help others tell their own stories. In these capacities, my goal is to help people and businesses leave legacies. I earned my Master’s Degree in Creative and Professional Writing from Western Connecticut State University in 2010. My book of personal essays. Tough Love: A Wyoming Childhood, was published by Wyoming's Pronghorn Press in 2012. My work as a freelance writer has appeared in Writer's Digest, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Poets & Writers, River Teeth, USAA Financial Magazine, Salvation Army's War Cry and elsewhere. Many people have an idea for a story or a book that they want to explore on the page, but they are fearful. You want to be a more confident writer, see a writing project through to the finish line and perhaps even receive feedback on your writing. But you fear that you lack the time to write, don’t know enough about writing to get a story down (let alone a whole book) or wonder if anyone will care about what you have to say. As a published writer and a creative problem solver with 35+ years of combined writing and editing experience, I can help you more clearly see and make sense of the story you want to tell, even if that story is hard. I help writers (including those pressed for time, juggling too many distractions or simply afraid to move forward) move their writing projects and writing practice forward. I meet you where you are along the storytelling journey, whether that’s at the very beginning, somewhere in the messy middle, or at the end wondering, “now what?” Whether you’re looking for coaching (figuring out the story you want to tell or mapping out the book you want to write) or editing (a solid polish on the words you have already written, so they are clean, clear and in your distinct voice), I offer customized plans to help you meet your writing goals.

I am a published writer, proven editor and writing workshop instructor with an MFA in Professional Writing. My mission is to help people tell meaningful stories and connect with one another through the written word. As an editor, I have compiled and produced small business histories, transcribed and published life stories, assisted doctoral candidates with dissertations and helped fine-tune college applications. My first book, Tough Love: A Wyoming Childhood (an essay collection), was published in 2012 by Wyoming's Pronghorn Press. I love to work with young writers and writers who want to find their voice.

I regularly worked with individuals who needed college transcripts, medical documents, letters and other valuable files translated from one language into another. I also worked with companies, schools, government agencies, law offices and healthcare providers to deliver important marketing and communications material across multiple languages. This position also included a new role of social media manager, which carried with it responsibilities of writing blog posts for the company and keeping the company's website updated.
