Work closely with Dr. Ellen Jacobson in the specialty area of dermatology. Patient types include both male and female patients, over the age of twelve, with a variety of dermatologic and aesthetic concerns. Responsibilities include: assessment, management, development and initiation of a plan of care for patients with issues such as atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, acne, skin cancers, benign growths, fungal infections, hair and nail disorders, moles, skin tags, cysts, psoriasis, rashes, rosacea, scars, viral illnesses and warts. Skills include: surgical skin biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses, removal of benign growths, injection of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, Instalift, Kybella, microneedling with and without injection of PRP, administration of topical, local, and injectable anaesthetics, including dental and nerve blocks, Hydrafacial, OXYgeneo facial, dermaplaning, application of peeling agents, lash/brow tinting, and energy based devices (lasers, radio frequency microneedling, and body contouring devices). I also functioned in a Cosmetic Coordinator role as the main point of contact for all internal and external marketing for the office, including close communication with our marketing consultant, printers, website designer, and the physician. I am responsible for coordination of our social media, monthly newsletters to patients, aesthetic menu, special events, and in-office advertising materials. In conjunction with the Aesthetician and the Physician, I play a vital role in decision making with our cosmeceutical skincare products: selecting new products based on active ingredients, tolerability, function, price, and demand from our patients. Recently, I have been part of the hiring process, helping with selection and interviewing potential new members of our team.
