Earlier this year, I finally decided to make a change and reconnect with my lifelong love of learning. In my free time I’m always reading or listening to a podcast (ask me what I’m currently reading!) and want to bridge that curiosity and passion for learning and research into my career. In March, I started the Merit America IT Support program and just completed my Google IT Support Certification. Currently studying for my CompTIA A+ exams. (Any studying tips appreciated!) Excited and a bit nervous to start on my next adventure. My next milestones include delving deeper into networks, security, cloud computing, and Linux. I've even set up a home lab, and can’t wait to get started! In my current role, I've honed valuable skills that I believe will seamlessly transition into the realms of IT and customer support. From fostering flexibility and creativity in problem-solving (never say “that’s not my job” or “I don’t know” but “let’s find out”) to collaborating with multiple departments, I've thrived in an environment where adaptability is key. Whether it's breaking down technical jargon into accessible language or expertly multitasking in a bustling dispatch center, I've embraced every challenge as an opportunity to grow. Now, I'm seeking entry-level roles in IT support and customer service. My ideal work environment is one that fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, with a mission centered on leveraging technology to make a meaningful impact. I'm passionate about joining a team that values collaboration, diversity, respect, and integrity. Open to connections from fellow learners, like-minded IT professionals, and or anyone who loves a good book. It’s been great getting to know my fellow Merit America learners, and I’m excited to expand my network as we all go on this journey together.
