About Kate Noelke, Mph, Mches

Using strategies of lateral leadership and systems thinking, I guide student-centered, inclusive, and innovative approaches to administration, public health praxis, and teaching in higher education. The foundation of my experience comes from outdoor education and eight years in professional sales. Combining ten years in higher education student affairs and administration with progressive leadership, and six years of experience of teaching in higher education, I'm a mid-career professional with the energy and passion of someone just getting started and the pragmatic nature that comes with years on the job. It is my goal to build and contribute to interprofessional, cross-functional, and collaborative cultures of inclusivity, well-being, and success on college campuses in which we all take responsibility for students' outcomes and campus community. I am currently all-but-dissertation (and still writing); working full-time in a consultative and practice-based Chancellor's Fellowship for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities focused on mental health; and teaching in the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Race, Gender and Sexuality Studies program. I use research, shared learning, impactful community partnerships, systems thinking, and innovative leadership praxis in higher education to create powerful connections with colleagues, students, and governmental and industry leaders.Key Skills and Proficiencies: Equity and inclusive excellenceHigher education administrationHealthcare AdministrationLeadershipApplication of public health frameworks for systems-level change managementProject managementPublic and community health education Teaching and curriculum design in public health, community health education, social justice, race, gender and sexuality studies; and non-clinical mental and emotional wellnessPublic speaking, training and consultingStrategic PlanningInterprofessional, cross-functional collaborationsGrant writing and fund development
