I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist certified K-21 with 8+ years of experience at the elementary and middle school levels. Relevant skills I have gained as a school psychologist include: providing cohesive layers of support for children and families, case management, team coordination and coaching, behavioral and crisis intervention/support, data management and tracking, with an overall goal of curating genuine emotional wellness. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills and lead with empathy. I have experience in data collection, analysis, and presentation to ensure sound decision making. I have experience in providing trainings and professinoal development to staff on various topics including mental health, behavior management, and inclusive practices for individuals with disabilities.I have experience in leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary teams of 20+ staff and also serve as our Special Education Team Coordinator for our instructional program supporting students with a broad range of abilities and strengths including those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. I am passionate about promoting positive outcomes for all those I serve through a strengths-based approach.In the summers, I have served as a Regional Camp Director through KE Camps supporting approximately 20 local sumner camps within the Chicagoland area and mentoring/training other directors. Problem solving, creative solutions, and clear communication skills have allowed me to excel in this position. There is something so nostalgic and joyful about faciliating the success of summer camps!My hobbies include yoga, rock climbing, spending time outdoors, hiking, and going on walks with my two adopted dogs! I also have completed a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program in early 2019 and enjoy teaching yoga classes at a local studio. I incorporate mindfulness principles into my work and encourage others to find moments to appreciate the little things in life.
