Collaborating with the Fremantle Women’s Health Centre to improve health promotion for women in the community was a rewarding experience. Designing this project to develop suitable health promotional content required effective planning and communication with colleagues. This project enhanced both my organisation and communication skills. Partaking in the project in collaboration with the women’s health centre promoted personal growth in professionalism that will be beneficial for my pharmacy career. I was very grateful for this rewarding experience to collaborate with such a wonderful team to improve health literacy within the community.

My 5-week placement in Geraldton community pharmacy was a very rewarding experience. The rural environment allowed me to converse with a broader patient demographic which widened my perspective. The opportunity allowed me to improve my skills and expanded my knowledge.My Roles and Responsibilities included: - Counselling Patients on correct use of medicines- Dispensing medications using Minfos Dispensing software - Assisting patients to book in their flu vaccinations - Giving patients advice and education about their primary care needs- Organising stock arriving at the Pharmacy and ensuring it is accounted for correctly
