As a DHRM for the Los Angeles, Penske Truck Leasing I am responsible for administering and facilitating the District’s New Associate Experience onboarding program. In addition, I also identify and propose solutions to address local retention challenges. I am responsible for identifying areas of opportunity by reviewing associate feedback, exit and stay interviews, etc. In addition, I am also responsible for coaching leaders in people management, processes, and functional associate development. I also proactively build and maintain relationships at our different locations to help support and cultivate a positive and engaging work environment. I ensure all company mandated training obligations are met including: Harassment Prevention, Reasonable Suspicion and Workplace Violence, etc.. As a DHRM, I am responsible for conducting investigations regarding uprising concerns and serve as a functional expert for our leaders to navigate through HR related issues. Moreover, I am also responsible for ensuring our leaders are well informed of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) set in place for our Union member associates.

As a Production Supervisor WLP I worked with supporting departments to address safety, quality and productivity concerns to best help serve our clients and employees. I was also responsible for employee evaluation, development, promotions, transfers, terminations and wage recommendation. As a Production Supervisor I was also involved in the day-to-day direction of all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, work rules, GMPs, and safety requirements are followed. In addition, I attended and lead FMDS (Floor Management Development Systems) meetings, created and managed a variety of KPIs as well as maintained and cultivated a continuous improvement culture for employees.

As a Human Resource WLP , I am exposed to a variety of problem-solving, conflict- resolution and continuous improvement projects. Here I am able to utilize and apply my previous experiences and knowledge for on the job tasks. Thus far, I have been able to help with NEO (New Employee Orientations), revision and creation of Job Descriptions and Interview Guides. In addition, I have also been able to support the Employee Relations team in areas including but not limited to: arbitrations, investigations, suspensions, separations and resignations.

As a recruiter for TalentBoost I was responsible for helping clients fulfill company vacancies with well-equipped staff. At TalentBoost I was able to work with different companies varying from manufacturer plants to healthcare services. At TalentBoost I was also responsible for sourcing candidates through Resume Library, LinkedIn, and email. In addition, I was also responsible for walking candidates through the hiring process, assuring drug and background tests were completed. At TalentBoost I also frequently supported job description revisions and translations.

At CarMax I was responsible for mentoring associate’s development by adhering to CarMax’s standards, assuring to help coach and promote associates for next level roles. I also helped hire and onboard new associates by actively participating in the interview process. In addition, I was also responsible for scheduling and planning associate training while playing a key role as Manager On Duty, ensuring daily office tasks were delegated and executed. As a LBOA I pioneered multiple projects to help improve both internal and external customer processes. In addition, I was training in CarMax’s Management Development Program. While doing MDP I was able to learn more problem-solving, leadership and time-management skills.

As a Business Office Associate at CarMax I focused on providing customers with exceptional customer service. I was responsible for accurately reviewing sale contracts and legal documentations to finalize vehicle purchases and sales. Furthermore, I was also responsible for registering newly purchased vehicles with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
