As a team, we work to provide a service of sourcing new products through innovation and development, through to production and having the finished product on the shelf. My primary responsibility within this team is to ensure that all products supplied to the UK comply with the quality specifications of our customers and partners, whilst meeting all safety and legal requirements.In practical terms, I drive and manage product briefs from start to finish, and arrange and attend first productions for all product launches at sites across the UK and Europe which may include BRC, retailer or ethical audits.Working with the sales team, I contribute to the strategic management of our product portfolio to increase distribution and range, and work hand-in-hand with our client Technical and Development teams to influence product decision making.

I was responsible for dealing with technical and quality issues on a wide range of products including preserves, tinned meat, biscuits and confectionary, and therefore had to communicate effectively with suppliers and customers on a regular basis. As part of this communication, I had to deal with complaints, product labelling issues and liaise with enforcement authorities on health and safety issues when required.I took active participation in product taste sessions, and developed and delivered innovative and imaginate products to satisfy customer needs through bench marking sessions.
