Study: Barriers to Neurosurgical Service Delivery in Sub-Saharan AfricaWork collaboratively to improve national neurosurgical outcomes in Nigeria through the exploration of barriers to neurosurgical care in service delivery. Created patient and provider surveys to evaluate the extent and impact of identified barriers at individual, hospital, and health system levels. Traveled to University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria in Summer 2023 for data collection and presentations. Data collection included guided dissemination of the surveys and personal interviews with patients and providers. Results will allow us to devise community-based interventions that can be implemented to alleviate these barriers and enhance neurosurgical service delivery.
