Against Breast Cancer is an Oxfordshire based charity which began as the personal crusade of its founders Dr Anthony Leathem and his wife Patricia in their search for a future free of breast cancer.Today, Against Breast Cancer funds pioneering research by expert clinical scientists at the University of Westminster in London. They use an exceptional collection of breast tissue and patient samples to identify markers that can detect the re-appearance of breast cancer in women already treated for this illness.I began with ABC as their Fundraising Coordinator and as the team grew was promoted to the Fundraising Office Manager. My role was to act as the first point of contact for all supporters, ensure all facilities were provided in accordance with contracts, source and purchase fundraising material and assist the Fundraising Team with their activities. Also, working with the IT Manager, I was given the opportunity to create and run an online shop to raise additional funds for the charity.
