Passionate and dedicated professional looking to integrate into the Public Health field with a primary goal of making a difference in our society utilizing information technology, leadership, outreach, and excellent communication skills.I have worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP certified) for 20 years, am a skilled generalist, competent and knowledgeable in all aspects of laboratory operations. Currently, I am finishing an internship through Kaiser Permanente Infection Prevention Team where I have conducted environmental inspection rounds of clinics, health centers and Ambulatory Surgical Centers; educated staff on Infection Preventive measures; developed a comprehensive Infection Prevention training presentation using CDC, OSHA and WHO guidelines; conducted Risk Assessment to evaluate environmental and healthcare services to identify potential infection hazards and access prevention readiness; and revised and updated Infection Prevention Policies and Procedures.One of my projects for the master's program was developing a Child Wellness and Infection Prevention Pilot Program with the goal of raising awareness of negative effects of ultra-processed foods and increased screen time and positive effects of proper hand hygiene among children ages 5 through 12. The program was successfully implemented at the private catholic school.
