Program officer for K12 and Career Pathways program areas

Responsible for a broad range of support functions in service of Washington STEM’s programmatic areas of early learning, K-12, and career pathways. I'll be working to to integrate services, including data and policy support, to ensure coordinated support for Washington STEM’s partners across the programmatic areas.

I am responsible for managing daily operations for program of over 500 volunteers including volunteer onboarding, database maintenance and volunteer communication. Additionally, I provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective volunteers. I am skilled at creating lasting and meaningful relationships with volunteers to make sure they feel welcomed and that they are valued members of our team.

In this role I collaborated with coworkers to cultivate, grow, recruit, and train Pacific Science Center’s team of volunteers. Additionally, I directly supervised 75 Science Interpretation Program Volunteers including program specific training, long term and daily scheduling, and one-on-one coaching and support

Responsible for planning or co-planning public programs which included creating a plan for the educational activities and information given to the public, gathering supplies, contacting volunteers and outside organizations the Museum partnered with, training volunteers, and completing after action reviews of the programs. Additionally, I was involved in our school and summer programs by developing and facilitating school programs on microbiology and paleontology and a paleontology summer camp.

Welcomed prospective students and families to CSU, and provided information about the school.

Led first year and transfer students through their orientation process to ensure they felt comfortable on CSU’s campus. Trained and supervised 32 RamWelcome Leaders during the RamWelcome week to help them be mentors to the incoming students.

Assisted with group projects and conducted independent research that were pertinent to the lab’s goals, collected and recorded data for the experiments conducted.
