Responsibilities:Providing tailored and practical health and safety solutions to clients across Australia in the property management, education, government and construction industries. Projects have included the establishment and delivery of audit programs, design and development of health and safety management systems, and delivery of technical risk assessments.Major Achievements:- Managed national audit programs, including teams of 10+ auditors, to successfully deliver on client assurance requirements. Obtained Exemplar Global Lead Auditor qualifications for ISO 45001 management systems. Regularly leads internal National Self-Insurers Audit Tool (NAT) surveillance audits and health and safety management system audits for compliance with AS 4801, ISO 45001 and legislative requirements. - Designed and developed health and safety management systems for various clients, including a national community services organisation with diverse operational needs and other organisations with unique risk profiles, such as waste management and government.- Developed Property Risk Registers for a national property management organisation, including project management and coordination of a large team of consultants nationally. - Fulfilled a secondment with a community services organisation, in an Acting OHS Manager capacity. This was an advisory role which also involved completion of internal health and safety audits, monthly and quarterly reporting to the Executive Board and attendance at operational meetings.

Responsibilities: Assisting with the development, implementation and review of the Brotherhood's Safety Plan, and providing practical solutions across the business for health, safety and risk management needs. Additionally, this role involved the implementation and maintenance of an injury management program, to assist with a reduction in incident numbers and efficient return to work of injured employees and volunteers.Major Achievements:- Assisted with the development of a risk-based framework for a new health and safety management system, including preparation of an organisational health and safety risk register.- Completed health and safety management system audits to identify gaps in existing systems and determine the level of compliance with system and legislative requirements.- Established and implemented a proactive injury management program to increase supervisor/manager engagement in the return to work process. This included regular face to face meetings with internal stakeholders at all Brotherhood worksites, and liaison with the broader allied health team (General Practitioners, Physiotherapists and Osteopaths).

Responsibilities:Worked autonomously and within a small team to deliver proactive injury management services. Prepared and administered return to work plans; provided coaching and mentoring to injured workers and supervisors; facilitated communication between parties; and drove strategies to reduce unproductive hours. GM Holden is a large self-insured employer who adopts best practice in global safety and quality management systems.Major Achievements:- Reduced the number of unproductive hours in my caseload by 50% over a period of 12 months.- Negotiated with key stakeholders to achieve safer and more sustainable working conditions for injured employees including increased job rotation and better safety equipment.- Implemented a systematic approach to early intervention that included face-to-face meetings with employees within 2 days of injury. This led to a reduction in the number of work cover claims lodged and a faster rehabilitation for injured employees.- Managed a caseload of +50 injured employees, including +10 long-term cases. Effectively influenced the return to productivity for a number of employees with long-term, difficult claims including 2 that had not been at work for over 12 months.

Responsibilities:Self-employed, contracted by trainers to ride in thoroughbred races. Attended track work daily to exercise horses and establish a network of contacts to gain further / repeat business. Prepared for race riding by maintaining a high level of health and fitness; studying past performance of horses; and devising tactical strategy. Managed own finances.Major Achievements:- Established a strong relationship with trainer Tony McEvoy, which resulted in race rides at Listed level. Displayed integrity by providing honest feedback about horses and my own performance in track work and on race day; and was reliable in fulfilling track work and trial riding commitments. - Contributed to the continuous improvement of the Apprentice Jockey School by identifying gaps and adding depth to the curriculum.- Balanced a busy work schedule with the completion of a Bachelor Degree for 3 years in order to facilitate a career transition post-riding.
