With 20 years of experience in emergency and critical care, I obtained my VTS(ECC) in 2017. I have 18 years of team management and training and 6 years of experience volunteering with the ABVTA and RVTTC. I have previously held a voting position with the ABVMA Council where I took great pride in representing all RVTs of northern Alberta.I have a passion for elevating our profession and inspiring people to create their perfect career. RVTs are professionals and need to be recognized for their knowledge as well as their skill. I believe that mentorship, support, full utilization and a positive work environment and appropriate wages are the keys to ending burnout, chronic staffing shortages in veterinary medicine and decreasing RVT attrition rates! I have a mission to end the stigma that veterinary professionals are unhappy and regret taking this path in their life. We have gift to work with animals and we are fortunate enough to have our calling and do that everyday and we can make a living and help animals and their people.
