Managed bids for forensic medical services and detainee healthcare within the Police market. Developed internal operating policies and procedures; provided contingent bid management support, when required (strategic advice, technical writing and bid management governance) to Tascor Services' non-emergency patient transport bids with various NHS Trusts. Bids won included forensic medical contracts for Police forces including: Lancashire, Cheshire (twice successfully defended), Cumbria, Surrey, Hampshire, Avon & Somerset, Northumbria (successfully defended) and British Transport Police. Also, rebid and retained the contract for secure transportation for patients detained under the Mental Health Act for Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Trust.

Bids undertaken included contracts for the UK Border Agency, National Offender Management Service, Youth Justice Board, Scottish Prison Service and various NHS trusts.

Responsible for managing all aspects of bid process in Reliance Secure Task Management. Appointed to shape this new role, with key objectives being to review and refine existing operational procedures and devise and implement new processes within the Department, on an interdepartmental level, in partnership with other Reliance Group operation companies and with the Board. The role focused on quality control, information management and bid process management. Bids undertaken during this period included tenders for contracts with various police forces, the Ministry of Justice and the Probation Service.

Seconded to the business at a time when there were fundamental faults in business process which were causing substantial business losses. Appointed to manage a business process improvement project which involved the transition of 20 centres’ internal administration procedures to a single new centralised IT platform. Successfully embedded change, implementing new invoicing procedures and cost saving measures to achieve target revenues.
