Kate Skinner is a proud graduate of Theatre Nepean and Member of MEAA since her graduation in 2004. Since then she has worked steadily in the industry in both Sydney and London. She has recently returned from a NSW Regional Tour of 'Through These Lines' (July-Oct, 2014)- a new Australian play about the Nurses of WW1 where she played the lead role, Sr Florence Whiting. Her other theatre credits include; Music (Griffin Theatre Company/Stories Like These), From Door to Door (Moira Blumenthal Productions), Playhouse (NIDA Tour), The Great Lie of the Western World (Cathode Ray Tube), Drake the Amazing (Darlinghurst Theatre Company/ Michaela Kalowski Productions), Medea and Atomograd (New Theatre), Friday Night Drinks and Dole Diary (Bareskin Productions), Moll Flanders (Southwark Playhouse, London), Getting Out (Giant Olive, London) and Click Tease (Adelaide Fringe Festival.)Her film and TV projects include Home & Away, Team 11 (Pilot), Harbord Horror and The 1 in 5 Project (Torrid Films) and The Trophy Thief (Arterial Motives). She has also worked on various TVCs and Corporate Film and Theatre projects over the years and is currently in post-production for her first documentary after receiving the Jumpstart Grant from Metroscreen in 2013.
