Profile bio

About Kate Smith

Ex Musician who became an Early Years Teacher. I strived and become Early Years Lead managing a team of 1 other teacher and 3 TAs. I gained Outstanding for my department in 2010 at the Birmingham School. Following a relocation to Cheshire to be nearer to my family, I took an Early Years Teaching post in Middlewich. During my time here I took on my favourite job title of Mum and took 2 years out to raise my son. Balancing being Mum and also work, I took on the role of TA at Kingsmead Primary. I was flexible to working across all key stages in the schools and adapted my role to the challenges each stage brings. Having always had a passion to make a difference to lives, I wanted to develop my knowledge of SEN. An opportunity arose which has allowed for this where I am now a 1-1 SEN TA.
