Assigned to pupil with severe ASD, ADHDSettled pupil into mainstream school.Pupil was initially non-verbal and managed 1 hour daily. Within 6 weeks, pupil was full time in school through my intensive support and relationship building.Established and maintained relationship of trust and understanding for the pupil to happily attend school and thus make progress in all areas of his development. Differentiate the Class Teacher’s planning to meet child’s needs. Deliver 1-1 lessons to the pupil.Support pupil to integrate within small groups/whole class.Provide engaging and relevant resources for pupil (visual timetables, now and next cards etc).Greet pupil and family (adjusting and adapting according to pupils mood that day).Work closely with the family being realistic and also sensitive to their SEN journey.Support pupil in ALL aspects of school life including toileting, play time and dinner time.Adapt to pupils needs and emotions and access sensory room as required.Deliver sensory circuits and free play as necessary.Deliver SALT sessions.Assess pupil against ASD framework and Key Stage requirements.Complete daily records for school and also home school log.Attend training for further knowledge into ASD.Liaise with multi agencies and attend / lead meetings.Make connections with other local ASD settings for advice and support.Record incidents on school CPoms system.Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.First Aid trained.
