I help organisations and businesses get unstuck and make progress on the issues that matter to them. I work with CEOs, Boards and senior teams to help them identify what progress looks like, what may be getting in the way, and what they need to do (and not do) to move faster in the direction they want to go in. I work most often with businesses and organisations that are either at a point of change, or feeling stuck or unsure about future direction. I design projects specifically for each client, tailored to their particular issues, dynamics and culture using frameworks and tools gathered and proven over my 20 year consultancy career. I work with organisations and businesses of all shapes and sizes from small, high growth start-ups to large established corporates, and across a range of different types of industries and areas - including tech, tourism, FMCG, primary production, health and the arts, for profit and not-for-profit.

Shine was one of my consultancy clients from the agency's inception, and as the agency grew I became the Strategic Partner. I was part of building Shine into one of the most successful and most respected independent agencies in New Zealand culminating in winning two Five Star Awards in NBR's Advertising Agency of the Year Awards in 2010 and 2011.I stepped down as Strategy Director and Partner in order to concentrate on my consultancy, and to focus more on broader business and marketing projects. I no longer have any connection with Shine.

Eatbigfish is a consultancy that specialises in understanding the thinking and behaviour that characterises successful Challenger organisations and brands, and working with clients to understand how to apply Challenger principles to their businesses. I represented eatbigfish in Australasia and was involved and led projects for clients including Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand, Tip Top, Frucor and Meridian Energy in NZ, PepsiCo and Skins in Australia, Kodak, Del Monte and Dove in the US, and Unilever in India.

Peter Cullinane recruited me to Saatchi & Saatchi NZ from London to be the National Strategic Planning Director and was based in Wellington. I was involved in developing strategy for most of the agency's clients which at that time included many of NZ's largest companies. I was also part of the Global Planning Board for Saatchi Worldwide.
