Award winning student magazine written, designed and distributed by GCU students since 2010.

I completed a three-month paid student placement where I worked as a communications assistant for Flexibility Works. The consultancy and training organisation works in partnership with the Scottish Government to promote flexible working in Scotland. This experience gave me practical insights into the strategic planning and execution of PR campaigns and reports. I worked within the team to create content, manage media relations and support my manager in planning for the 2024 Flex for Life report.

In August of 2023, I did a work experience placement at Radio Clyde as a news reporter. After a successful two weeks, where I wrote articles, conducted interviews, edited audio for the bulletins and more, I left the station with a newfound confidence passion for the radio. In the months that followed, I did more work with Radio Clyde, including attending and filming a conference for “The Light the Way Campaign” and further work sourcing and writing stories for their bulletins. Highlights: - Sourcing an exclusive story on “The Waiting to Happen Campaign” which ran as the headline piece for numerous bulletins. - Attending a FBU rally at George Square by myself, where I conducted interviews and took videos and pictures on behalf of the stations across Scotland.
