The business mission is to advise, encourage and involve the local community in advancing their knowledge of and take ownership of their own health and lifestyle goals, while helping them overcome ailments and illnesses. We support them with our advice and products to help in their wellness. A key vision is also to support the government policy of the circular economy, encouraging and supplying reusable, refillable and eco-friendly products.I work alongside my fellow two directors, with my role focusing on back-office HR related management and policies and accounts-related commitments. I additionally spend time on the busy shop floor, where we have at any one time between 25 and 30 staff, advising customers, managing staff, supervisors and managers, and merchandising our products to optimise sales.

Worked across five different divisions as AO in the Deparment of Justice, each having its own unique set of responsibilities, and being in charge of between two and five staff. The role varied from one of project management to legal analysis, to drawing up policy to people management. I was also involved in the drawing up of legislation. Within in this period, I was appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State, and as Assistant Principal during Ireland's EU Presidency (see below).

I held this position in the Mutual Assistance & Extradition division for the Period of the Irish Presidency of the EU, and the four months leading up to it. The role combined legislative measures which were progressed during the Irish Presidency, and management of the extradition section of the division. My role in the Presidency work involved analysing and monitoring the proposed wording and positions of Member States, working with my manager to arrive at agreed text. Coordination of views and ensuring all Member States' individual policies were taken account of was critical.On a domestic level, I took over the day-to-day management of processing of extradition cases, primarily European Arrest Warrants. Strict control measures were necessary to ensure accuracy and expediency, while ensuring compliance with European Law.

As private secretary to the Minister of State, I worked as the principal link between the government minister and officials in the department. I was involved in coordinating the development of the minister's policy remit, as the link ensuring that the decisions of the minister were clearly and fully implemented by the Department, as well as ensuring that the minister was kept fully informed on changes in policy. In this respect, I was in regular contact with the most senior officials within the Department.I was in attendance with the minister at most official meetings and events to provide support; and travelled widely to functions and meeting both within and beyond the EU. I also had ownership of the ministerial diary, managing the minister's time with the diary secretary. This meant prioritising invitations, commitments, policy briefings and submissions and parliamentary business.All correspondence to the Minister was funnelled through me, assisted by two staff who assisted in the coordination of reponses with the relevent division.
