Hi! I'm Kate, a cross-disciplinary industrial designer based in Melbourne. I've recently graduated honours at RMIT University, where I was awarded the Dean's Award Winner for B.Industrial Design (Honours), an Outstanding Honours Project Award, and made it on the Vice Chancellors List for Academic Excellence.I am currently enjoying working at Dot Design Group, where I am honing my industrial and graphic design skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. My role entails much sketching, CAD, concept development, ideation, liaising with manufacturers, and decision making in the mass production process.My main areas of interest is products found in the home, with particular focus in designing with narrative, critical design, social impact, and authenticity of materials and manufacture. I enjoy designing "objects that speak" through their form; where the narrative informs physical form.
