    After a privileged hiatus from ordinary life, living the extraordinary. . . holding my parents in one hand and children in the other and helping/co-authoring with Dad, his 21st book, 3 1/2 Seconds to Live (Amazon, copyright 2017), I am thrilled to be a part of Linfield-Good Sam School of Nursing working primarily at Oregon State Hospital with our cohort of nurses on their psychiatric rotation. Like every life story is unique, every experience is unique. A lifelong learner, my students and I learn alongside each other while holding with respect a mosaic of trauma stories with hope for recovery for all we meet.
