Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation

Level II Fieldwork Roles: Managed a full caseload of students including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, IEP meetings, and consultations with teachers at Saginaw Public Schools and Millet Learning Center. Diagnoses Included: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, ECDD, Emotional Impairment, and Cognitive Impairment. Interventions included improving skills related to motor planning, sensory integration, letter reversals, handwriting, social skills, bilateral coordination, cutting skills, and visual perception.

Skilled Nursing FacilityLevel II FieldworkRoles: Managed a full caseload including assessment, treatment planning, interventions, care conferences, and discharge planning of patients. Diagnoses included: hip replacement, hip fracture, debility, general muscle weakness, dementia, spinal fractures and fusions, and CVA.Interventions included working on skills related to ADLs, IADLs, purposeful activities and preparatory activities with a meaningful client centered approach.

OutpatientRoles: Co-leader of a weekly outpatient support group for individuals who had sustained a CVA. Participated in adaptive feeding interventions for adults with various diagnoses. Participated in meaningful and purposeful activity groups on the Transitional Care Unit.

Skilled Nursing FacilityRoles: Participated in assessments, interventions, note writing, and development of clinical reasoning skills working with individuals with various diagnoses.
