Teaching Associate - Masters of Nurse Practitioner

The NP role provides comprehensive care in the outpatient setting to children with cancer on maintenance chemotherapy, off treatment and on treatment surveillance pathways, managing emergency presentations, providing supportive care as well as lead proceduralist for the general anaesthetic list performing lumbar punctures, intrathecal chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirate and trephine biopsies.Working in the dynamic and progressive field of paediatric oncology, I have developed a strong interest in leadership, research and education. As a NP I have a passion to drive evidence-based care and inspire those around me to work as a team to implement clinical excellence.I have a strong interest in supportive care, AYA care and lead the Paediatric Oncology Evidence Based Practice Working Group. I am a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, Cancer Nurse Society of Australia, Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer, Australia and New Zealand Children’s Haematology Oncology Group and the Monash Health Nurse Practitioner/Candidate Collaborative.
