Irish Research Council funded PhD scholarship under the structured PhD program at NUI Galway in the Discipline of Pharmacology & Therapeutics under the supervision of Dr Michael Conall Dennedy. This project focused on cholesterol and lipid trafficking in Adrenocortical Carcinoma (ACC). Using pharmacological and genetic models I manipulated intracellular levels of lipids to further understand mechanisms of chemotherapeutic-induced toxicity. We investigated this in the setting of therapeutic sensitive and resistant ACC. Our findings have been published in Endocrine Related Cancer. Techniques: Cell culture, SDS-Page, Western Blotting, qRT-PCR, PCR, Viability assays, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Imaging Flow Cytometry, Fluorescent Microscopy, Plasmid Selection, Transfection, Lipid Extraction, Bio-banking of Adrenal Tumours Software: GraphPad Prism, Adobe Illustrator, FlowJo, IDEAS, SPSS, Minitab, Endnote, Biorender
