Leading a team to identify and deliver long term value for National Grid across £billions of goods and services. Strategically reviewing opportunities within the internal business to meet their future ambitions and externally by understanding all relevant markets and supply base, alongside the the E2E supply chain delivers strategies which develop value beyond traditional procurement savings in areas of value engineering, innovation, demand management, strategic relationships and emerging markets.

Accountable for a team of 19, a UK portfolio of £365mn associated with corporate services, professional services and facilities management and energy with a focus on Driving value and improved service delivery. Accountable for Global Sourcing initiatives and opportunities for National Grid. Corporate services supports the entire business with temporary labour, travel, legal services, audit, public relations, postal, office supplies, training and HR platforms. Professional services supports the entire business business with consultancy support, professional seconded, change management, company accounts. FM&E includes support to the commercial and corporate property teams including waste management, design and refurbishments, utilities, catering.

I currently look after the Major Projects team for National Grid Global Procurement. I am accountable for a team of 13 direct reports managing a portfolio of £6Bn Construction projects . Responsible for the development of multiple category strategies through to contract award and drafting. My team support any contract requirements over £100mn. The team are accountable for both electricity and gas projects including tunnels, interconnectors, off shore development, major cable replacement and gas tanks and compression equipment. Over the last 18 months I have awarded a new 400kv Tunnel and Cable contract and most recently awarded the largest NG procurement project for a new Interconnector between Scotland and England., I am also leading the recruitment campaign for our growing procurement team.
