I have worked with Arup for over 20 years. As Co-Chair of Arup’s Australasia Region, I’m inspired by our people who live and breathe our firm’s social purpose and values to deliver work that makes a positive difference for communities. My fellow Co-Chair Kerryn Coker and I continue this work, and our ambition is to embed sustainable development in everything we do.Through generosity and collaboration with our clients and industry we can drive positive change and create more resilient, liveable places. My first role at Arup was an engineering graduate, based in Perth. I spent three years on the graduate development program trying many disciplines before pursuing structural engineering as my core skill. Later, I moved to Melbourne and then London, working as a Structural Engineer and Design Manager. One project I enjoyed working on was Dublin Airport Terminal 2 development.My most recent role was the WA Consulting Group Leader, in Perth, guiding our Advisory Services, Transport Planning and Fire Engineering teams on complex projects: Perth Airport T1 International Departures Expansion, Perth Airport Terminal 1 Domestic, and the new METRONET Morley-Ellenbrook rail line in Perth. I have three, wonderful children and am an advocate for flexible working arrangements.
