I have now been working in this industry more years than I care to admit so to gage my experience I thought I would start quantifying the projects I have worked on... 1 no. Convention Centre, 4 no. Performance Theatres, 1 no. Distillery, 28 no. Schools, 1 no. New Town, 36 no. nurseries, 1 no. Bus Station, 18 Churches, 42 Uni Buildings, 78 Listed structures, 32 Royal Mail Buildings, 386 no. House refurbishments, 1500 no. Student bedrooms, some railway things, a few roads, some rivers, a couple of bridges and a dam in the Welsh Valleys.... are you singing yet? In 2019 I reached what I feel is the pinnacle of Structural Engineering and became a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers. I have always supported the Institution and its initiatives throughout my career with time spent on committees, developing publications, writing blogs and as a STEM ambassador. Giving back and inspiring others is still important to me, so please get in touch if you feel I can assist in your initiatives.If it hadn’t been for the support of two companies throughout my career enabling me to work on amazing projects and giving me the opportunities I would never have got this far, so I am eternally grateful to both Curtins and AECOM.In 2020 I decided to stride out on my own putting to use all those tasks I have been able to learn and undertake with others, it is time to do for myself. It has taken a long time to pick a name but I finally settled on Static Dynamic, now that is in place I need to get cracking with the real work!
